NL26 COURSE: NONLINEAR COMPUTATIONAL SOLID & STRUCTURAL MECHANICS
ECCOMAS is pleased to announce the next edition of the Advanced course on “Nonlinear Computational Solid & Structural Mechanics”, that will be held in Pavia (Italy) on May 18-22, 2026.
Course objective is to provide engineers, graduate students, researchers, and industrial users with a review of numerical techniques and solution algorithms for nonlinear mechanics. The course will introduce the current state-of-the-art and cover some scientific trends in finite element modeling of nonlinear problems in computational mechanics and will highlight the difficulties (and possible solutions) in a number of applications. The course is it is organised in lectures and interactive tutorial sessions, with lectures from Ferdinando Auricchio, Manfred Bischoff, Carlo Lovadina, Guillermo Lorenzo, Robert L. Taylor, and Peter Wriggers.
